Beginning Sunday, February 3rd, Our new worship schedule will be:
- 8:30-9:15 Sanctuary worship
- 9:30-10:20 Common Thread worship
- 10:25-11:10 Discipleship time (formerly called Sunday School)
- 11:15-12:15 Sanctuary worship
Celebrating our 60th Anniversary!
This month, we will celebrate our 60th anniversary as a church! God has richly blessed us in so many ways, and we will spend the entire month remembering and marching forward! Each week will include focus on specific aspects of our church life. Please put these on your calendars so that we may worship and celebrate together!
Celebrate With Us:
- March 6th:
Men's Pancake supper celebrating men's ministry past, present & future, followed by Ash Wednesday worship service.
- March 10th:
On Sunday, March 10, we will continue our 60th Anniversary celebration month with a luncheon in Carson Hall at 12:15PM. Our organizing committee is caring for the meat and the dessert, and all of us are invited to bring with us side dishes to share. Please plan now to join in the celebration! The details of how to drop off your dish will be shared in the March 3 bulletin and in the church-wide email for the week before March 10.
- March 17th: Methodist University Chorale in Concert at St. James
Methodist University's premiere touring choral ensemble, the Methodist University Chorale, will contribute to the 11:15 morning service, and then present a concert at St. James United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 17 at 2:00PM. The MU Chorale will present works from different musical epochs with special performances by soloists from the group, MU Chamber Singers, and Ryan Pagels, their accompanist. The ensemble consists of 32 vocalists and performs traditional/advanced choral literature.
- March 24th:
Come and learn more about the Opportunities for Mission available at St. James on Sunday, March 24! At the luncheon hosted by our United Methodist Women in celebration of the 150th anniversary of UMW, we will also have information about each of our mission opportunities posted around Carson Hall, with ministry leaders available to answer questions and get you involved! Come and see what is new in missions, and get involved!
- March 30th:
Final day of missions celebration week with Habitat for Humanity work day. This year St James UMC will be involved in the construction of homes on Skycrest Drive (a short drive down New Hope Road).

Marching Forward Sunday - celebrating children's ministry past, present & future
