St. James UMC has worship services in two styles over three services each Sunday morning. Our traditional style worship is held at 8:30 and 11:00 each week in the Sanctuary.
our nontraditional worship service, is held on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Carson Hall. Click on either style of worship to learn more about those services!

Nursery care is offered throughout Sunday morning for infants and children through age 3. Our nurseries are staffed both with paid staff and church member volunteers each week.

    Fall Studies Schedule:

All are invited to join in the studies we are offering this fall! Register at the church office or use the clipboard in the lobby to sign up. The nursery will be provided if it is requested by the sign-up deadline. We want to make Bible study available to all, and we hope that discipleship will be a priority!

  • Christmas Is Not Your Birthday
This 5-session study by Mike Slaughter is a great way for us to get ourselves truly ready for the season of Advent. Held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00, the study begins on October 15 and ends November 19. Books cost $13 and will be available from the office in early September. Nursery registration deadline is October 4.
  • Awaiting the Already
This 4-session Advent study takes us on a tour through the Gospel narratives, showing us what parts of the Christmas story come from which Gospel, and helps us to recognize that each Gospel writer invites us to encounter a fresh experience of the birth of Christ. Held Mondays from 11:00AM to noon so that those who work during the day can use lunch hours to participate, the study will be held November 30 to December 21. Cost is $10.
