worship service schedule

St. James UMC has worship services in two styles over three services each Sunday morning. Our traditional style worship is held at 8:30 and 11:00 each week in the Sanctuary.
   our nontraditional worship service, is held on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Carson Hall. Click on either style of worship to learn more about those services!

Nursery care is offered throughout Sunday morning for infants and children through age 3. Our nurseries are staffed both with paid staff and church member volunteers each week.



  • February 10, 5:30 pm pancake supper provided by the United Methodist Men in Carson Hall, followed by Ash Wednesday worship in the sanctuary
  • Each Sunday, worship services at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00 am; Holy Communion served on February 14 in Common Thread and on March 6 in traditional worship
  • Wednesday evening communion services in White Chapel, February 17 thru March 23, with different lay or clergy speakers each week
  • March 20, Palm Sunday worship services at usual times;
    • 8:30 worship will be hold in White Chapel and will include an I Am statement
    • 9:45 worship will include our children's drama
    • 11:00 worship will include the choir cantata I AM THE LORD OF THE DANCE in the sanctuary
  • March 24, Maundy Thursday worship service, 7:30 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church
  • March 25, Good Friday observance (event details will appear in March newsletter)
  • March 27, Easter Sunday,
    • 7:00 am sunrise service in White Chapel
    • Breakfast in Carson Hall following the sunrise service
    • 9:45 Common Thread worship in Carson Hall
    • 11:00 worship with brass accompaniment in the sanctuary
